Plasson and the Community

Plasson involvement in the community has been part of the firm basic values, goals and activities from the beginning: Supporting and supplying simple assembly work to a group of disabled people at theirinstitute, tutoring rehabilitated youngsters and letting them combine in the factory, participating in national programs for new immigrants and providing them work and accommodations(along with kibbutz Ma'agan Michael), employing elderly & disabled workers in the factory, supporting
our workers in different issues and crises, and many more other activities.

Since 2003 Plasson have joined the international trend of social responsibility and community involvement.

Our vision: Plasson and the community – two way connection of giving and receiving in aim to create an equal, rightful and quality reality for the society and the environment.

The program's goals are: involvement and contribution to the community by a long-term commitment of volunteers and factory resources and maintaining a volunteering framework for our workers and the population of the kibbutz.

The activities take place in the town Pardes Hanna-Karkur, and in the druse village Daliat-El-Carmel

• Adoption of 3 nurseries for children at risk:
  Activities with the help of volunteers and factory resources: mentoring, enrichment classes, celebrating birthday parties for each child, varied activities on holidays and vacations, summer camp, maintenance and renovations during the year.


• Adoption of 2 community centers for children:
  Activities with the help of volunteers and factory resources: mentoring, varied activities on holidays and vacations, summer camp, maintenance and renovations during the year.


• Personal mentoring:
  Help in homework and enrichment activities for underprivileged children at their homes.


• Connection with a group of elderly Ethiopian immigrants
  Monthly trips in the nearby surroundings, escorted by volunteers.


• Renovation Projects:
  Involving dozens of volunteers, professional work and investment in equipments and furnishing.


• Students scholarships:
  Study and living scholarships for excellent students who study subjects connected to industry and tutoring them while they study.
